1V1 Meet web service
Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 24, 2026
This Policy explains how 1V1 Meet handles information when adults use its browser-based one-to-one video, audio, messaging, matching, and safety features.
1. Scope and operator
This Privacy Policy applies to the website at 1v1meet.com, the 1V1 Meet web service, customer support, and related features (collectively, the “Service”). For purposes of this Policy, 1V1 Meet is the operator and data controller where that term applies.
The Service is intended only for users aged 18 or older and is not directed to children.
2. Information we collect and process
Account and profile information
- Account identifiers and information used for email, phone, or supported third-party sign-in.
- Profile details, display name, profile image, preferences, and settings you choose to provide.
- Customer-support communications, reports, appeals, and account-deletion requests.
Calls, messages, and content
- Connection information for random matching and user-selected connections.
- Call metadata such as participants, start and end times, duration, connection status, quality, and safety events.
- Text messages, images, videos, and other content you choose to send or upload through enabled features.
- Video or audio recordings only when a recording feature is enabled and the interface provides the applicable notice or control. Users must not make undisclosed recordings through external tools.
Technical and website information
- IP address, browser type, operating system, device and language settings, page activity, timestamps, referring pages, logs, errors, crash data, and security or fraud signals.
- Cookies, local storage, session tokens, and similar technologies used for login, preferences, security, service operation, and aggregate performance analysis.
1V1 Meet does not use information to display third-party advertising and does not collect an advertising identifier for advertising purposes.
3. Browser media and WebRTC data
| Data or access | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Camera | Transmit video to the person in your one-to-one call after browser permission is granted. |
| Microphone | Transmit audio to the person in your call after browser permission is granted. |
| Network and connection data | Establish and maintain a real-time connection, diagnose quality, route traffic when direct connectivity is unavailable, and prevent abuse. |
| Images and video files | Send content you explicitly select through an enabled messaging feature. |
Real-time media may be transmitted using WebRTC and may pass through STUN, TURN, relay, hosting, or communications providers as needed to connect the call. Peer-to-peer routing can expose network information to the communications technology needed to establish the connection. Call content is not treated as a permanent recording unless a recording feature is expressly activated.
4. How we use information
- Create and secure accounts and support available login methods.
- Provide random matching, user-selected connections, one-to-one video and audio calls, and messaging.
- Maintain call quality, troubleshoot failures, prevent spam and fraud, and protect the Service.
- Operate reporting, blocking, call-ending, review, enforcement, and appeal functions.
- Process enabled paid features and respond to payment, refund, and customer-support requests.
- Remember preferences, measure aggregate performance, improve functionality, and comply with law.
5. Legal bases
Depending on your location and the activity, we process information to perform our contract with you, with your consent, to comply with legal obligations, and for legitimate interests such as operating and securing the Service, preventing abuse, improving reliability, and protecting users. You may withdraw consent for future processing where consent applies, subject to legal and technical limits.
6. How information is shared
- With the other participant: your live audio and video, profile information, messages, and content are visible to the person with whom you connect.
- With service providers: hosting, WebRTC, STUN/TURN, identity, communications, storage, analytics, security, support, and payment providers process information needed for their services.
- For legal and safety reasons: information may be disclosed to authorities or affected parties when reasonably necessary to comply with law, investigate abuse, protect rights and safety, or respond to an emergency.
- In a business transaction: relevant information may be transferred in a merger, financing, restructuring, or sale, subject to appropriate safeguards.
Other users can independently capture information displayed during a call. Do not reveal sensitive information or share content you are not comfortable providing to the other participant.
7. Cookies and analytics
We use essential cookies and local storage to authenticate sessions, preserve settings, balance traffic, and protect accounts. We may use first-party or service-provider analytics to understand site performance and errors. Where applicable law requires consent for non-essential analytics, those technologies should not activate until the required choice is made.
Browser controls can block or remove cookies, but essential account or call features may stop working.
8. Safety and moderation
Users can end a call, block an account, and report conduct or content. We may process the report, relevant profile and call metadata, messages or submitted evidence, and security logs to investigate and enforce the Terms of Use. We do not promise to monitor every live conversation.
9. Retention
We retain account information while the account is active and for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the Service. Call metadata, messages, uploads, reports, technical logs, payment records, and support communications are retained according to their purpose, user settings, security needs, dispute requirements, and applicable law.
After account deletion, associated personal information is deleted or de-identified unless limited retention is necessary for security, fraud prevention, payment records, dispute resolution, enforcement, or legal compliance. Residual copies may remain temporarily in protected backups until overwritten.
10. International processing and security
Information may be processed in countries other than your own by 1V1 Meet and its providers. Where required, we use recognized contractual or other safeguards for international transfers.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information. Real-time communications and stored data face inherent security risks, and no system can guarantee absolute security.
11. Your rights and controls
You can manage camera and microphone access, cookies, profile settings, call controls, blocks, and reports. Depending on applicable law, you may also request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability, withdraw consent, and complain to a data-protection authority.
To make a privacy request, email support@1v1meet.com. We may verify account ownership before acting.
12. Account deletion
To delete your account, sign in and select Settings > Delete Account. You may also contact support@1v1meet.com if you cannot access the account. Deactivation, blocking, signing out, or closing the browser is not account deletion.
13. Children
1V1 Meet is restricted to adults aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly permit a minor to maintain an account. Contact us if you believe a minor is using the Service so that we can investigate and take appropriate action.
14. Updates
We may update this Policy for legal, technical, safety, or product changes. We will revise the effective date and provide additional notice where required.
