1. Acceptance and operator
These Terms of Use are an agreement between you and 1V1 Meet (“1V1 Meet,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), operator of the web service available at 1v1meet.com.
By creating an account, joining a call, purchasing an enabled feature, or otherwise using the Service, you accept these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering this agreement. Minors may not create an account, join a call, send content, or use the Service. You must not misrepresent your age or help another person bypass eligibility controls.
3. Accounts and sign-in
1V1 Meet may support email, phone, and selected third-party sign-in methods. You agree to provide accurate information, maintain the security of your login credentials, and promptly notify us of suspected unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity under your account to the extent permitted by law.
4. Matching and communications
The Service may let you connect through random matching or select another available user, depending on the feature presented. A match or connection does not mean that 1V1 Meet has verified the other person’s identity, age, background, intentions, or statements unless the interface expressly says otherwise.
Enabled features may include one-to-one video and audio, text, images, and video sharing. You decide whether to accept, continue, or end an interaction. Do not share financial credentials, passwords, government identifiers, precise location, or intimate material with someone you do not trust.
5. Camera, microphone, and recording
Your browser must receive your permission before 1V1 Meet can access the camera or microphone. You may revoke permission through browser or device settings, but calling features will stop working.
6. User content
You retain rights you hold in profile information, messages, images, videos, recordings, and other content you submit (“User Content”). You grant 1V1 Meet and its providers a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, transmit, display, reproduce, and process User Content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, moderate, and support the Service.
You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed for User Content and that it does not violate law or another person’s privacy, publicity, intellectual-property, or other rights.
7. Prohibited conduct
You must not use 1V1 Meet to:
- exploit, endanger, groom, sexualize, or solicit a minor, or create, possess, or share child sexual abuse material;
- share pornography, non-consensual intimate content, sexual deepfakes, or content depicting sexual violence;
- harass, threaten, stalk, discriminate, promote hate, encourage self-harm, or display graphic violence;
- impersonate another person, commit fraud, solicit money deceptively, spam users, or obtain credentials;
- record or distribute a person’s image, voice, messages, or private information without required consent;
- upload malware, circumvent access or safety controls, scrape data, reverse engineer, or disrupt the Service;
- use the Service for illegal products, sexual services, trafficking, or any other unlawful activity.
8. Reporting, blocking, and enforcement
You can end a call, block an account, and report content or conduct through available controls. We may review reports and relevant account, message, call, and technical information; remove or restrict content; limit matching or communications; preserve evidence; suspend or terminate accounts; and cooperate with authorities where appropriate or required.
We do not guarantee that we will review every interaction in real time or prevent every harmful act. In an emergency, contact local emergency services or law enforcement first.
9. Paid features
If paid functionality is offered, the checkout interface will identify the feature, price, currency, billing method, applicable taxes, and whether the charge is one-time or recurring before you confirm payment. Additional payment-provider terms may apply.
Refunds, cancellations, and chargebacks are governed by the checkout terms, payment-provider rules, and applicable law. We will not charge for an optional paid feature without the required confirmation.
10. No advertising
1V1 Meet does not display third-party advertising. Service announcements, safety notices, or descriptions of 1V1 Meet features are not third-party ads.
11. Our intellectual property
The Service, software, interface, branding, and documentation are owned by or licensed to 1V1 Meet and protected by law. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal, lawful purposes under these Terms.
12. Third-party services
1V1 Meet may depend on hosting, communications, WebRTC, STUN/TURN, identity, storage, analytics, support, and payment providers. Their services may be governed by additional terms and privacy notices. We are not responsible for an independent third-party site you choose to visit.
13. Availability and changes
We may modify, limit, suspend, or discontinue features for technical, safety, legal, or business reasons. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, a match with a particular person, a minimum call quality, preservation of every message, or compatibility with every browser or device.
14. Account termination and deletion
We may suspend or terminate an account for a material breach, fraud, payment abuse, security risk, unlawful conduct, or protection of users and the Service. Where appropriate and legally required, we will provide notice or a review opportunity.
You may request deletion through Settings > Delete Account or email support@1v1meet.com if you cannot access the account.
15. Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not control or endorse user statements and do not guarantee another user’s identity, conduct, compatibility, or intentions.
Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
16. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, 1V1 Meet will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or loss of data, profits, goodwill, or opportunity arising from the Service or another user’s conduct. This limitation does not apply to liability that cannot legally be limited.
17. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you will indemnify and hold harmless 1V1 Meet and its personnel from third-party claims arising from your unlawful User Content, infringement of another person’s rights, prohibited conduct, or material breach of these Terms. This does not apply to the extent caused by our unlawful conduct.
18. Applicable law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the parties, the Service, and the transaction, without depriving you of mandatory consumer protections in your place of residence. Before formal proceedings, the parties should make a reasonable good-faith effort to resolve the issue through support. A dispute may be heard by a court with competent jurisdiction.
19. Updates and general terms
We may update these Terms for legal, safety, technical, or product changes. We will revise the effective date and provide additional notice where required. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue. A delay in enforcement is not a waiver.
